What is Flickr?

I’ve got a Flickr account. How do I find the Murray Hill Digital Collection Group so my photos can be shared on murrayhill.gc.cuny.edu?

The Murray Hill Digital Collection Group can be found here. Once you join the group (click “Join?” and confirm), you can share your photos by submitting them to the group’s pool.

I’ve joined the Group. How do I add my photos?

From the Group page:

  • Click on the link which says “Add photos”. It appears just to the right of the phrase “Group Pool.”
  • This takes you back to your photostream where you can select individual images or tagged subsets to add to the Murray Hill Digital Collection pool.
  • Click the button reading “Add to group” to finalize your selection.
  • You’re done! Your photographs will immediately appear in the group pool which is visible both on Flickr and the Murray Hill Digital Collection’s Community page.

    From your page:

  • Go to your page and from the “Groups” menu select “Your Groups” then “Groups you belong to” and finally “Murray Hill Digital Collection.”
  • This takes you to the Murray Hill Digital Collection Group page. From here, just follow the instructions above.
